Unity In Truth is comprised of Seventh-day Adventist laity and leaders throughout the North American Division whose passion is evangelism. We desire the church to be a safe place into which we can bring new people. Unfortunately, what we believe as an official church and what we actually practice are often two different things. Bringing new converts into churches which are acting contrary to our established beliefs and positions is a great hindrance to the growth of our church.

Therefore, the mission of Unity In Truth is to promote loving, Christlike accountability in the Seventh-day Adventist church that we may truly reflect Christ to a world in darkness. We encourage leadership and laity alike to faithfulness to our message and mission, thereby hastening the return of Christ.

We seek unity based on Biblical truth as affirmed by the current official 28 Fundamental beliefs and positions of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

We uphold the church’s method of Biblical interpretation, the historical-grammatical method.

We are active members in good standing. As such, we encourage all tithe be returned to the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

We embrace the organization of our world church and therefore resist congregationalism, pluralism, and kingly power.

We uphold the Seventh-day Adventist representative form of church governance, recognizing that authority rests in the membership. Therefore, we encourage the laity to take ownership of their church.

We seek to close the gap between laity and leadership in establishing more direct means of open communication between the two.

We provide means of accountability by raising awareness on current issues within our church and provide opportunities for members and leaders to respond appropriately to local and division-wide issues.
